Install & Configuration

 

System Environment

  • Web writer supports Windows 2000/XP currently, it doesn't support Windows Vista.
  • Web writer supports IE 6.0/7.0 currently, it doesn't support IE 5.0 or below.

 

Configuration

 

If your internet explorer version is 7.0, you can configure the internet explorer to use web writer more conveniently as follows:

  • Start internet explorer, then right-click the Command bar, point to Customize Command Bar, and then click Add or Remove Commands.

  •  Click Writer button in the Current toolbar buttons list, and then select click Move Up button. 

  • When you're done, click Close. Using Web Writer.

 

Using Web Writer

 

Bold

If you want to bold or un-bold the text in a web page, you can use bold function.

  • Select the text you want to bold, or cancel the bold in web page.
  • Click the BOLD button, then you can add bold effect or cancel the bold effect to the selected text.

 

 

Italic

 

If you want to italic or un-italic the text in a web page, you can use italic function.

  • Select the text you want to italic, or cancel the italic in web page.
  • Click the ITALIC button, then you can add italic effect or cancel the italic effect to the selected text.

 

Underline

 

If you want to underline or un-underline the text in a web page, you can use underline function.

  • Select the text you want to underline, or cancel the underline in web page.
  • Click the UNDERLINE button, then you can add underline effect or cancel the underline effect to the selected text.

Change Text Color

 

If you want to change or un-change text color in a web page, you can use change text color function.

  • Select the text you want to change color, or cancel the color in web page.
  • Click the change text COLOR button, then you can change or un-change the text color.

You can only add red color to the selected text currently.

 

 

Highlight Text Color

 

If you want to highlight or un-highlight text color in a web page, you can use highlight text function.

  • Select the text you want to highlight color, or cancel the highlight color in web page.
  • Click the HIGHLIGHT text color button, then you can highlight or un-highlight the text color.

Currently you can only highlight yellow color to the selected text.

 

 

Hyperlink

 

If you want to hyperlink or un-hyperlink text in a web page, you can use add hyperlink function.

  • Select the text you want to hyperlink, or cancel the hyperlink in web page.
  • Click the HYPERLINK button, then Hyperlink dialog will be pop up, and you can select hyperlink type and input the link address information to the URL editor.

 

Information Tips

 

If you want to add some information tips to record something important and inform you later, you can use add information tips function.

  • Click the information TIP button
  • Click the web page, NOTE the position of tips added will be the clicking position in the web page.

How to control the information tip

  • You can drag the right-bottom icon to resize the information tip.
  • You can drag the header bar to reposition the information tip.
  • You can click the minimization button to minimize the information tip. The information tip will change into a icon, you can click the icon to restore the information tip.
  • You can click the close button to close the information tip.

 

 

SAVE & RECORDER

 

 

Save the html file

 

If you want to save the html page you are browsing, you can use save the html function.

  • Click the save HTML file button. And it will save the html file to the recorder folder.
  • If you want to view the html file you saved, click the view RECORDER data button.

Notes: If you save the html file, web writer will save it into local machine, So you can browse it at any time, even the target link address (HTTP address) changed.

 

 

Save the link address

 

If you want to save the link address information you are browsing, you can use save the link address function.

  • Click the save LINK address button, and it will save the link address.
  • If you want to view the link address, click the view RECORDER data button.

 

Viwe & Edit Saved Data

 

If you want to save the link address information you are browsing, you can use this function.
  • Click the save RECORDER button, and a recorder dialog will be pop up on the left side.
  • You can edit the html link address, html title, html catalog, remove the html file, go to html folder and so on.
